Redesigned Homepage

the homepage

Pain Points: Similar to the mobile app, there is a lack of navigation with all content hidden in the hamburger menu. The current carousel animates in multiple directions and is both distracting and confusing to use. Content feels cluttered and unorganized.

Approach: Implement a static navigation menu of main categories that expands when the user hovers. Redesigned the carousel to a more familiar model - which also does not limit the vendor to 4 promotions. Also included more enticing product information such as ratings and utilized the footer to contain their social media links that are nowhere else on the site.

UI Improvements: Added a static banner at the top as a promotional space and account/cart information. Reorganized and brought variety to the page by drawing focus to the featured products. Redesigned product images of the boxes to feature what's included in each box as well as create consistency.

Redesigned Product Page

the product page

Pain Points: Description section of the product does not contain any useful information of the actual product - only on the creator (which is applied to every product). Additional images are stacked on the bottom of the page, causing more scrolling than necessary. There is no ability to view additional colors of the same product.

Approach: Centralize all images into one location by creating a carousel with the ability to toggle through thumbnails. Create the ability to toggle between color options of a product to create more visibility and give the user options. Used the description area for actual product information and created a separate "about the brand" section that can be applied to their other products. Utilized the rest of the page to provide customer with more information and visibility of other products, such as a list of additional/similar products and customer reviews.
